How much money do I need and what qualifications to open a animal breeding business?
When I'm older I would love to work breeding animals. I would NOT be one of these so called 'puppy mills' I would let the animals breed at their own rate and follow all laws. What qualifications do I need and approximatley how much does it cost?

- I'm not so sure that money is as big an issue as is physical space and time.
- It depends on how big is the business.
- There will be no profit in the type of breeding you aspire to do- only expenses. Breeding is a labor of love. Depending what animal you want to breed the costs vary. Besides the cost of providing the space and your time, there are vet bills and food. You should begin by taking part in dog shows. Perhaps you could be a handler. This would be a great way to learn about your preferred breed so you can start your own program at the right time. Good luck!
